Surface Refrigeration Plant(R134a) and 10 MW Bulk Air Cooler with 300 ton Ice Thermal Storage System.

Process design, civil, structural, mechanical and piping design. Commissioning is planned for 2009.

Palabora Mine

1 off 3.5 MW Underground Refrigeration Plant (R134a), 2 off Bulk Air Coolers, Dams, 1 off Condenser Spray Chamber.

Engineering Procurement Construction Management (EPCM) of the underground cooling system to be commissioned by mid 2009.

Anglogold Ashanti 2008

Tau Lekoa mine

Refurbishing of two Hitachi water chillers to provide 15 MW water chilling duty. New cooling towers.

Turnkey project including engineering design, procurement, construction, management & commissioning. Commissioning is planned for October 2008.

Moab Khotsong Mine

Ice thermal storage coils in existing dam. New 6 MW ammonia chiller. System will shift refrigeration load outside peak hours.

Turnkey project including engineering design, procurement, construction, management & commissioning. Commissioning is planned for May 2009.

Kahama (Tanzania) 2007

Bulyanhulu Mine

2 x 500 kW Underground Spot Refrigeration Plant.

Turnkey contract for the design and supply of main components in packaged kit form.

Mponeng Mine

Ice Thermal Storage System (800 ton ice mass) and Modification to Existing Refrigeration Plant.

Turnkey project including engineering design, procurement, construction, management & commissioning. Commissioning is planned for 2006.

2 off 18 MW Surface Refrigeration Plants (R134a) and Bulk Air Coolers.

Turnkey project. KMS shaft commissioned in Jan.2006. GCS shaft to be commissioned later in 2006.

SIM 03-06-03

SIMRAC, as partner in the WHO/ILO initiative for the global elimination of silicosis, is funding research for the containment/elimination of silicosis in the South African mining industry.

VUMA 2008

VUMA-network 3.3

VUMA-network 3.3 is a significant upgrade to version 3.0. This version includes improvement to the reporter facility, full Vista compliancy, updated look and feel, better program stability, updated help files and refinements to the solver routines.

VUMA-network 3.0

Major upgrade from Version 2.5 especially in 2-D and 3-D graphics which allows rapid navigating and viewing of the network. Visualization of the results uses colour coded display and users are now able to customise the min-max display range to focus on specific results. The new version will be introduced to the market in mid 2006.

Significant improvements over Version 2.0 are in the areas of interface graphics, solver routines, reporting, stability and changes to the data structure. The new version will be introduced to the market in mid 2005.

A joint initiative with GMSI provided a link between mine models developed with Cadsmine and VUMA-network. A beta-version was completed in January 2005.
